The Pulmonary Hypertension Association was searching for a way to help better educate; medical practitioners about what Pulmonary Hypertension is, how to diagnose and how to treat it.

DLC Solutions, a leader in websites for medical and educational organizations, came to Kodis to help create the new medical portal for their client, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. Kodis’s job was to create an interface for PHA’s new project. A fully interactive website was designed and developed so that users could take online courses, earn credits and stay up-to-date with the latest medical information. Class schedules, course curriculum, and other teaching aides are all made available to registered users.

Besides creating a usable interface, the next challenge was to merge the feel of a university with the professionalism of a medical website. This unique combination required an interesting exploration phase that focused on the inner workings of some of the top scholastic and medical websites available. Moreover, the site needed to speak to its users by making their educational interactions easy—while also being simple and intuitive to every type of user no matter what their background might be.

Every step of the way PHA stayed involved in the process. By the end of the project what evolved was a website that stayed true to the style of the original PHA website but with the refinements and class of a top-tier university.

Results

PHA University’s portal now has thousands of patients, doctors, and educators using the site gaining the valuable knowledge that will save lives through PHA’s informative education. PHA has praised DLC many times thanking them for making their educational materials fun and easy to use via their highly attractive website.
